nationals was an experience eh. all thanks to those who came to support. like the netballers and the mgpb(which i think only 3-7 came lol) i really appreciate u all. and like even jialin was there! i was so touched. and to all the acjc people, every single one who went turf ytd, thanks. a big gigantic thank you to every single acsian. thanks tchs for sharing your humongous track with us. thank you mr HCIcoach for offering to let us watch the marathon videos with your team. thank you mrqikopek aka NIE drink seller. i don't know where you've been, but thanks for sitting under the shade in the heat almost everyday, waiting for us to finish training b4 robbing us of $1s. thanks SBS and transit for waiting for us every mon wed fri at the bus stop to bring us to our destination for trg. thank you mr ng for being so patient with us during almost every training.thank you for your undying passion to put the fire in us. thank you mr ang, acjc coach, for agreeing with mr ng to have the trial with ac though it nvr did happened. thanks Ms Kon and Mrs Yap for coming down 'all the way' to support us :)
without all these, i still could have done a screwed race (no wrong grammer intended) what the heck was wrong with me. i was over confident. i guess that wanting something a lot isn't enough, action has to be taken. (duh) oh well. Nationals was a lesson for us. It was a painful lesson.
rachael: thus far, it sounds like i'm collecting an oscars award thanking the whole world. but really, thanks for being so ever patient as a captain. your positive attitude towards x has really an effect on me. sometimes what u say leaves me totally speechless and i cant help it but smile.
jing: hey senior, last yr in mgs and u did really well in natls. congrats. thanks for always(or most of the time) for being late for trg during hols or sat so that i won't have to do my warm up and stretching alone. i guess we weren't really close to each other since i started x. but you're a great stick senior and i'm proud to know a member of the stick family. continue doing your thing and i had better see u at ac in 2 yrs :) if not i'll cry.
beth: heard that you were really happy with your results. so proud of that. you've finally made your mark and wheee you're finally getting rewarded with a colours award for your hard work and effort.(i dont really know what's so great abt an sch award anyway) thank you for always being so cheerful at training and cheering us up. your many comical drama stuff b4 or after trg helps us to relax n not brood over a bad workout. mgx isn't gonna be the same when you leave.
charissa: you've finally found yourself in running!! i feel so relieved. haha. the most whine-y senior i've ever known complaining to a junior about how running sucks. i'm really glad you're starting to like x. it's not too late =) thanks for your whineyness in training. it might be irritating at times but i guess it's really funny to listen to them.besides, it just makes me more motivated to run. i'm nvr gonna forget the starting line for me at natls 05. u were already having negative thoughts b4 the race! plus u were expressing them out for your dear junior to hear. oh man, i dont think i showed any expression but u made me even more nervous. oh well at least u find natls05 your best race ever.
yoon: goon-est senior. thank you for contributing to the many happy memories i'll cherish dear to my heart. whenever i think of u, my thoughts will run wildly to the NIE toilet. don't think the other way but if i'm not wrong, you're one of the crazy people that will laugh and shout and whatever in the toilet very loudly. stress relieving i guess. and in 04', we were running buddies :) i'll nvr ever forget that. thanks for going through the torture with me. facing it with the attitude i'd always want. positive, determined, never giving up no matter what and doing it with only one purpose in mind, for christ.
weilin: i still find it amusing when u have almost the whole team wearing the x shirt and you're the only one wearing the netball shirt. i guess things didnt really work out for you huh.though we're of the same age, i really look up to u. your attitude towards 13th is really the spirit of sportmanship. keep up the attitude and continue letting heads turn when u walk pass.
teo: you'd nvr come here but thanks for your support all this while. in sch, class, trg etc. glad to see u picking up from where u left last yr. we had better produce results next yr and do our seniors proud!
c div: don't be disheartened. it's your first nationals but i believe you guys have done well. whether or not u felt you've screwed it up, doesn't matter. you still have next yr. i'm actually kinda glad to see u guys taking natls so seriously.take this yr's natls as a lesson. pls don't chuck natls05 away, literately. i dont wanna waste another natls. i dont want to see the team depressed again.
to the rest of the team: from the bottom of my heart, thank you for always being here. thank you for making the quantity and quality of the team. honestly speaking, i've looked up to many of u all, whether older or younger than me. fighting the battle time and time again, under any kind of circumstance. u guys are a joy to have.mgx wld be nothing without u guys.
let's bid natls05' farewell for the last time and not look back anymore.
