i guess today's training is a good lesson learnt that in a team, every person counts ay? anything can happen anytime before nationals so all 16 have to be prepared to take over shld one falls.

"He's slashing arm action, hunched shoulders and tortured facial expressions, together with his experimental use of mid-race surges, made him a mystical presence with seemingly transcendent powers. He said,"I already know how to run slow. I want to learn how to run fast." Asked about his thrashing running style, he said, "I am not talented enough to run and smile at the same time." "
Found an article from a web and thought of sharing an extract with you guys. the runner's Zatopek by the way. whoever he is. but he shld be very well known to be put on the web. i have no idea why i'm putting this paragraph for you guys to read but...doesn't it sound very inspiring anyhow? it does to me.

the strength of your team is as strong as your weakest member.
remember: encouragement is essential.

hey! did you guys watch the commonwealth games?!
DID YOU SEE HOW THE RUNNERS RAN?!
their strides were HUGE, their pace was SUPER FAST and esp some of them, you can see they dont look tired even when they've seemed to have reached their max and yet they still continue to go faster!
well let me tell you, it wasnt till the next day when i thought how it related to what mr q had once said before.
they are so used to keep on going even when they're tired! they do not give in to tiredness!
isn't that really WHOA! ? :D hahahaha. afterall, champions are well respected (unless they cheated >=() besides, they're many years older than us all so it doesnt mean you dont have the potential to be a champ eventhough training may seem to be really tiring/energy-draining. but if training isn't supposed to be like that, then what's the use of training?
ok haha. fine. i'm not allowed to run until blahblahblah cos the swelling has become BIGGER. -.- its just pure torture not being able to run esp at a time like this. so you better learn from my mistake or else i'll kill you if i see anymore bai-kahs.
(anyway, do take note of the entry below from capt tifft.)

hello crossies, after training today i felt like a really lousy senior.
in my emails i've been telling you all to be careful, and then, i fall down again on the SAME foot. and now my ankle looks really fat again. X_X
also, i remember after i fell, when i walked back i was telling some of you not to walk during the workout. i felt realllyyyy guilty.
so anyway just thought i should say sorry. >.<"
oh yeah, if you're not in the team, FRET NOT, do not despair! its not the end of the world. :D you still have your 2.4 to work towards, set a goal, AND WORK TOWARDS IT! x)
you'll be surprised at the achievement you have made. :D

dear mg crossies :)
i'd like to congratulate all of you for your performance on friday :D i'm really proud and not sure how many of you got what you aimed for, if you did, well done! and if you didn't, don't be too discouraged because its not the end.keep trying. never lose hope.
i wonder how you guys are feeling with nationals round the corner. all i can say is you all have made it THIS far, and nats in like what..about 3 and a half weeks away. so this is where you press on and strive for the goal..this is where you say what is 3 and a half weeks compared to the many many many months of trg that i've put in. this is where you support each other and push through the pain together as a team. if you don't, everything done before would be useless.
what doesn't break you only makes you stronger.
look to the heavens for strength :) just a lil' bit more, common i know you can do it.
much love, rach

what can i say...
well done girls.
the results of the race speaks for itself. i'm prouda ya guys.
but hey, dont get too happy yet... nats is still..less than one month away. okay, not still. it is less than one month away. keep training hard. keep staying well. we have the potential yeah?
i'm happy. wahaa.
but for those who didnt hit what they were aiming for.. no worries.. it aint nats.. so you still have another chance.. i think we're going for one last race before nats.. (i think.) so continue pushing yourself.
if you've yet to start pushing... its a bit late. but hey, better late then never.
God's good!
well done mg!
danielle. :)

hello! i havent ran since last thurs, its quite nerve-wrecking considering i come back running a race just after 1 week of resting my ankle. -.-" i've never experienced having a sprained ankle so i'm being really paranoid and turf city's got such a hard ground! :S but i'm really eager to run again. xD
I BET YOU RUNNERS MUST BE NERVOUS TOO! (haha. -.-")
anyway,
when you slow down in a run,
you make the run easier for your competitor.
Is that what you want?
when you slow down in a run,
you feel more comfortable, the run becomes easier to handle,
what are the chances of success?
oh no. there's something wrong with my beloved dog. okok byebye!

28 more days--> according the grace (i counted 29!!), 11 more trainings. how are we looking at it?
great run today man. to give a brief summary of my run today, i ran first 5 sets. 6th set stopped(physical prob). during e 2.05 min, i heard so many words of encouragement...i dont know what got to me i ran the 7th and 8th set. i guess what hit me most was when somebody KEPT REPEATING," come on! finish e trg. finish the training!" i immediately thought of that national runner who ran back into the stadium with bloody legs and a fatigue body a few hrs after the group. thereafter, the 'my country sent me to finish, not start, the race' stuck in my mind.
during 7th set, this junior who was jogging said," ___(didnt get processed into thy brain) FOR GOD!" whoaaaa. so inspired :) 8th set, i was just thinking abt the "FOR GOD" phrase. it sounds just like forgot. the pun! the pun! " FOR GOD" ---> have you forgotten we're running FOR GOD?
ok nvm

hello team
so i wanted a cross gathering and asked you guys when a good day will be. but no conclusion!! so dont blame me =D anyway just wanna comment, you guys are improving man!! towards the 'disciplinedqueklife'. whoa i felt so accomplished when your reasons for objecting a particular day for gathering were like: got training the next day! siao ah walao after trg?!?! after trg must rest know! and WHAT!!?! before trg!??!?!?!? (good enough a reason)
hahaha you guys are a riot. or maybe cos i'm high now. i rmb being quite pissed when you guys kept objecting whatever suggestions were raised ._. or maybe cos i was doing strengthening(stupid sit ups). hmm...
on to running stuff; DID YOU KNOW
that when you're running fast, it doesn't neccesarily mean you're exerting more?
yes that's true! running fast means opening up your strides and pumping your hands with the flow. fast&relax. that's the way to run! whooooo. only when you're running upslope then do you exert and PUSH! fast and relax. fast and relax! next week's turf run..mostly straight ground. so rmb!! fast and relax. only start real pushing at the last stretch(and slope lah. whatever). hahaha i think i will go turf early to climb up the stairs to the top floor again =D then again, it's tiring. hahahaha turf city!!!!! wo de bao bei!!!!!
