cross outing 20062006(ddmmyyyy) cool right? heh

heyy crossies :) i thought that as the organiser to the very well planned outing, i should give a brief summary of what happened. sarah and charissa has so kindly offered to help me in it. kiddos to them!

the short and sweet one:
Charissa: I went to East Coast Park for the Cross gathering and it was so FUN! We ate a lot of junk food.Maybe they weren't junk food. They were just called finger food.YUM. :) Even though the number of people that appeared was really lesser than expected, we still had a lot of fun, didn't we? Even though the skies just kept of pouring down on us, that didn't stop us from having fun right? (right! yes i've to say this. glory to God man! it drizzled twice and the sky looked sooo threatening with the droopy clouds. i guess a few of us said a prayer to God and asked him to hold back the rain. it's amazing how He answered our prayers :))Maybe we should have another gathering like this one. There was a lot of heart- to- heart talking and laughing.I LOVE MGXCOUNTRY.

the extended and detailed:
Sarah: I woke up at 745am to go to East Coast Park. (see lah. who wanted to meet at 10 instead of 11? i also woke up at 745 >:( ) I felt so stupid ok ): I stopped at this busstop and walked into East Coast(the Macs place) for 20 whole minutes with soggy and muddy slippers when I could have actually stopped at a later busstop and walk in for just 10 minutes! Silly Sarah ):
I expected about 20 people to come. Guess how many people turned up!!! Me(sarah), Tifft, Janell, Laura, Benn, Merri, Ahmama(gracelim), Sher, and Charissa. From 20 people to 9 people AHAHA. -_- Nonetheless, the day was FUN.

I lugged all the cutlery here and everything(gee very heavy ah? ._. hahaha idiot. i guess they came in very handy anw :) thanks dear) and they were barely used.(WE TRIED TO USE AS MUCH AS WE COULD OK!! laura even used it to clean the ball...clean her feet etc) We started playing at the beach. I think we spent most of the time building stuff on the sand \: I just remember when we were building this 'swimming pool', then we built it near the sea so that waves could fill up the pool, and it was so damn irritating cause the water would knock down the front wall(obviously). BUT IT WAS SO FUN! Imagine this scenario, 7 people frantically building this tiny swimming pool and rebuilding the walls every 15 seconds. Bricks, big rocks, small rocks all participating in defending the sand walls. And then huge waves are just coming, crashing by every 15 seconds, laughing at our stupidity. LOL right (: (HAHA your description makes us sound like fools) And to think of it, I was so engrossed in the swimming pool, determined to complete the fragile structure, that I didn't realise Benn and Merri left East Coast. -_-(gosh you gave up halfway! what has crosscountry taught you?? hahahaha =P)
Laura hid Tifft's ball in the sand. It was this obvious huge lump. Then she asked Benn and Merri where the ball was, and they didn't know where it was! So they spent the next 15 minutes looking for it. I couldn't stop laughing when merrilyn said, 'HEY! Isn't the ball out at the sea over there!?!?! That yellow thing there!' Then she was like pointing WAY out to the sea at this yellow thing, most likely a part of some boat. WAH damn funny can :D It's just quite impossible that a yellow ball can float out so far into the sea without any of us realising haha. (plus the waves were toward shore. they cannot float at the opp direction)

When Merri's and Benn's backs were turned, Sher, Charissa and I quickly dug a deeper hole and dumped the yellow ball in. (i'll fill in here. laura&i suggested that maybe the ball floated to the grp of pple at the adj end of the shore. so she decided to ask them. that's when their 'backs were turned' it seemed like a dare to ask them man hahahahaha. she chickened out =p) The ground was like flat though it wasn't fool proof, cause if anyone stepped at the spot, they would feel an extra spring inside haha. (this passerby stepped on the spot! hahaha he tripped over it and stared suspiciously at the sand for a while after walking away...probably with no soln to his mystery.hahhaa!) It's actually fun to walk over it. Makes you feel like as if your feet has power to just spring up unnaturally.

Spent about the next 2 hours(THAT LONG??? =/ it didnt seem so and i didnt see you checking your watch) chatting with Ahmama, Tifft, Sher and Charissa. It was a good convo, funny stuff. Played some guessing number game to give out the delicious cookies that Laura brought.(The winner gets to eat a cookie) Then we played naming countries in alphatical order, like each person naming a country starting with 'A', then the next person names a country starting with 'B' and so on. Ahmama always got stuck. And we couldn't think of a country starting with 'O'.Oh yeah, the whole time we were eating cookies, sitting down huddling under umbrellas due to the drizzle, Laura and Janell were STILL trying to build something on the sand haha. It might have been the swimming pool.

Ahmama left cause she had to visit the dentist or something. She didn't say bye back. Got all pissed partially due to me. Sher, Tifft, Charissa and I moved to the sand and sat there haha. Started talking more, and then we moved to the big rock. Its scary when you look down at the other end of the rock and see how monstrous the waves are. We also engraved 'MG X COUNTRY' in the sand including names and all. No one brought a camera. -.- (you're the unwritten photographer man! =p)

The last thing I did at east coast was CAPTAINS BALL! The juniors(AND SENIORS!!!!)were fated haha. We were about to split into groups, and since there were 3 juniors and 3 seniors, Sher suggested juniors vs seniors, in which the juniors uttered out cries of disappointment, don't know why either.(cos we're bigger, better and stronger) So laura(or Janell?) suggested names in alphatical order, which resulted in juniors vs seniors again. Then finally, we did that oyabeyasom, however its spelt lol. IT WAS JUNIORS VS SENIORS AGAIN! :D

It was quite hard to catch the ball, cause Tifft brought her younger brother's uber bouncy ball :P (YA LOR I THINK SO TOO!! too difficult to catch!! then sheryl dont know why can catch it lor and say we lauya :( ) and I think the juniors won cause of me.(hahahah it was like cdiv against sheryl) But it was fun!
Had to go back after that cause of tuition ): (THAT'S WHEN THE REAL FUN STARTED MAN! hahahaa =D kidding)

ok done. oh my, i didn't know sarah had SUCH good memory. both renditions of cross outing given. hope you enjoyed it :) haha sarah is insane man. how can you possibly cram all the events in your head?? you're a pro. i concede.

hello!

*please help by finding a new template/designing one FOR THIS X BLOG. you know we picked this out of blogskins cos this was the closest thing related to running that we could find. i actually went to look up for perseverance/run/race/motivation/ determination/marathon/etc. and i ended up getting this by searching for: foot prints.

and alot ofppl are getting bored with this black grey white template, after all, MGX IS NOT ALL THAT BORING RIGHT. hahahaha. so please, do volunteer yourself to make up a new template that isnt as dull as this. discuss with somebodyyyyyy before you do it and you'd be doing a good part in mgX. hahaha. (i'm asking you guys to help out cos i cant seem to get a template and i dont know how to make one.)

anw, good luck to those running tmr! (i dont think any of them would read this actually) 10.5km RELAY sounds boring. hahaha you have to wait like.. 55min or something then its your turn to run! hahahaha.

i was intending to go join you all this morning.. but i guess i kinda overslept. i woke up at 8am and figured that if i left my house soon enough i'd get there at 8.30 or something. by then you guys would have already gone in and etc and i didnt want mr q to go all XXXXX. i was watching germany vs. costa rica!!! costa rica's ROUGH! and i like that last shot made by germany SUPER GOOOODDD. (but i'm currently still supporting brazil on the whole) too bad i'm supposed to spend more time this year studying. TT_TT and after world cup finals its.. prelims.
